Private events
The Mill Restaurant has a beautiful dining room and a large bar /casual dining area which seats 40 / 70 standing. Both areas are available for private hire (excluding the dining room on Friday or Saturday nights). Guests are welcome to run a bar tab and platters of food can be arranged.
Please note that the dining room is not entirely private – other guests can see into the room.
The Mill is a perfect venue for a wedding venue or special celebration, the building oozes old world charm and personality – imagine, canapés and aperitifs on the upper floor with the floor to ceiling doors opened out onto the laneway, listening to the jazz band, followed by cocktails and dancing downstairs in Charlie’s Bar… We have held many successful wedding receptions and we’re are more than happy to cater to your budget, feel free to give us a call to discuss.
A set menu is available (please see ‘set menu’) at $55 for 2 courses and $65 for 3 courses, alternatively a ‘shared platter’ menu is available at $55 for 2 courses and $65 for 3. The shared platter option is a fun way for everyone to try dishes off the menu. Large groups may also choose from the al a carte menu. You are welcome to set up a separate beverage tab and choose which drinks you would like served to your table.
Large groups are welcomed here at the Mill.
And don’t forget… downstairs from the Mill is Charlie’s Bar, a stunning, sumptuous lounge bar, perfect for pre or after dinner drinks. You are welcome to reserve an area of Charlie’s Bar for your party, please email us to enquire about dates available and prices.
